Launched in 2011, Batten Sportswear was created for the adventurer who seeks well made clothing able to withstand demands of the outdoors while still being fashionable for everyday city wear. As a lifelong vintage-clothing hound and avid surfer, designer Shinya Hasegawa gathers inspiration from late 1960s to early '80s surf and outdoor wear. While earlier decades serve as the inspiration for Shinya's designs, Batten Sportswear is made for contemporary tastes and contemporary adventures.
