iggy cord jacket
by ETOILE ISABEL MARANT

French designer Isabel Marant began making clothing when she was given a sewing machine at age 15. After finishing studies at Studio Bercot in 1987, she obtained an apprenticeship and assisted in art direction for labels such as Yamamoto, Chloe and Martine Sitbon. In 1989 she launched her eponymous collection of jewellery and accessories and from it's success, launched a small knitwear company called Twen just 2 years later. Twen would later develop into the Isabel Marant line that we know today- a collection of effortless yet sophisticated styles with a bohemian aesthetic, inspired by childhood trips to Africa, Asia, India and the Caribbean. Étoile (french for star) was introduced in 1999. Back To Product View All From This Designer
