Proving the depth and power of the minimal, Black Crane exalts the silhouette in supple lines and comfortable fabrics. With an interest in ancient Japanese culture and civilization, Black Crane seeks to push elemental themes into forms and settings. Married designers, Alexander Yamaguchi and Momoko Suzuki create beautifully draped garments. Momoko brings an architectural background to Alexander’s interest in silkscreen printing. Both taking environmental issues very seriously, all design and production processes, including fabric weaving take place sustainably in Los Angeles.
