La Botte Gardiane was founded in 1958. The brand's workshop is located just outside the Camargue, in the small village of Villetelle, between Nimes and Montpellier. ‘Gardians’ and ‘Gardiannes’ ride the white horses of the Camargue, horses that have lived in the region since Paleolithic times. La Botte Gardiane built its reputation by crafting boots designed for cowboys using the best leathers in France. It's is the last surviving boot maker for the riders, and wears the label of a “Living Heritage Enterprise”, a sign of excellence for their traditional and industrial expertise. La Botte Gardiane's excellent craftsmanship also extends to sandals, which are all handmade in their workshop in Villetelle.
