When the idea hit for a suiting collab, Hart Schaffner & Marx was the only company that came to mind. Steven has many HSM and Hickey Freeman suits in his archives and found their company history of 100+ years very inspirational as a designer. They have a wealth of information in regards to cut, materials and quality. In turn, HSM was very familiar with Steven Alan as a brand and was equally excited to do a partnership. We teamed up with Hart Schaffner Marx, originating from downtown Chicago and known for their expert craftsmanship, to bring a selection of exclusive suiting in traditionally inspired cuts and fine wool fabrics.
Classic two-piece suit made of soft, lightweight, yet durable Fresco wool. Tailored two button jacket with bespoke-inspired details and a floating canvas chest piece to maintain structure. Fully lined, notch lapel, two besom flap pockets and single chest pocket.
Tailored, straight fitting trousers with tab waist closure. Two front slant pockets with small interior patch pocket detailing, hidden coin pocket, and buttoned welt pockets at back.
