Ideas, innovation and design have a long heritage at Junghans. Junghans was founded in Schramberg, Germany back in 1861. The company started out specializing in the production of individual components for watch-making and after becoming renowned for quality, it began making its own watches in 1866. The registration of the Junghans trademark, the 8-point star, in 1890 marked the start of an era: Junghans watches became globally popular timepieces which were accessible to all. From the early 1900's to the 1960's, Junghans watches were described as ahead of their time. Throughout it's 150 years of "made in Germany" heritage, Junghans has kept quality, passion and flawless precision as it's core values. The unique combination of traditional watchmaking craft, the pursuit of innovations, and a fusing of modernity and tradition shape the work of Junghans today.
As long time watch enthusiasts we literally spent years imaging what we would want to incorporate into our own line- stainless steel construction, chrome finished hardware, sapphire coating for durability and Japanese Miyota movement. Our 21 jewel automatic movement time pieces have all the advantages of mechanical watches- detailed construction, precision, durability, but are wound by the motion of their wearer.
